I need to live my life to the fullest and enjoy every moment of this summer and every moment from here on out.

Yes!

I just found out I have a place to live in the city! Yesss..I have been needing good news since I have felt upset this past week(s). I am so excited and relieved as well that I have this option and that it'll be full of beauty and wonder just like the big apple : ) I have to figure out when exactly I can move in but I have a date in mind, just need to figure out if that works. Eeee! I feel things can only go up come fall. Now if only fall could come sooner. It's pretty rough living at home compared to the freedom in college. I just want this glowing feeling to last forever. If only I could feel the same in other areas of my life...but I shouldn't think about those things when life serves you something positive. Snow day : )

Having a snow day yesterday felt awesome. I felt like I was a little kid in school again so happy to have the day off.

Note to self: A requirment for my future jobs will consist of not working on the weekends. It's good I have a presentation scheduled at a church tomorrow, but it sucks having to get up in the morning on a weekend : X

Another note to self: I desperately need a car.

I've been practicing driving and I am improving! I drove around in parts of New Brunswick near campus and I drove along a major road near my home! Hooray!

Time to stop procrastinating and prep for tomorrow. I really don't feel like going.

Eff non-profit work!

Today, my boss created and gave me my new VAD (VISTA Assignment Description) which lists all the things I need to accomplish for my work during my year of service. HOLY CRAP. 14 partnerships? 24 mentors recruited over the age of 55 by August? What in the world did I get myself into.

As much as I like the mission of my work, I will NEVER AGAIN do non-profit work or volunteer recruitment, especially senior volunteer recruitment. One of the hardest things in the world. Seriously. Ugh. I hate this. Not seniors. Recruiting seniors as volunteers.

At least this is a one year position. It is giving me great experience and helps me develop professional skills. Plus, I learned what I do not want to do as far as jobs and careers, which is just as important.

I wish I could find the job/career I love. Something that I wake up in the morning and jump out of bed to do. That's when I know I've found my calling. My internship I had last semester of senior year was good experience, but not something I want to do. I don't think I want to work with kids ever again in my life. Not that there is anything wrong with children and I think they are adorable, but not so adorable to work with. Yeah. Both this and my internship were things that when I woke up, I subconsciously thought to myself..I don't want to go today. I mean it's not terrible and I'm sure there are worse things out there. In addition I'm grateful I do have something in this plummeting economy. However, non-profit is not the way to go for me. No way.

I love food

So lately, I've been feeling really hungry all the time. Since I graduated from college, I lost weight, probably because I'm not eating all the crap on Easton Ave anymore and there's a lot less food at my parent's home. My new year's resolution was to eat more..but have I successfully done that? I just love food and I don't understand why people think I don't eat. I have a high metabolism ok? My password for my computer at work has to do with consuming food. It's just so frustrating sometimes that we don't have an array of delicacies at my home. Time to start grocery shopping for myself which is something I should've been doing since I started working.
